Music Review: Count The Mistakes by Andrew Anderson

Updated: Sep 30

Artist: Andrew Anderson

Song: Count The Mistakes

Sounds like: a grittier version of the Pet Shop Boys

Perfect for: Walking round a big city with headphones on pretending you’re in a music video.

When I put this track on at first I immediately thought ‘gritty city Pet Shop Boys’ which only scratches the surface of what this track offers. Guitar sounds intermingle with electronic accents that catch the ear, backed by staccato drums before the music falls away to let Andrew’s lyrics shine through. “Look at me when I’m playing and count the mistakes/ When I make a mistake, it’s for you”. Catchy, melancholic and makes you want to hear more of what Andrew Anderson has in his catalogue.

As a musician myself, I totally understand how important getting feedback is and how hard it can to get people to listen to your music. Whether you are a budding musician just starting out or a seasoned name on the scene, if you're looking for a review, send your links here.
